1. ACORN Leadership Development Program

This 12 module program works with emerging leaders in all walks of life to develop 12 proven attributes of excellent leadership. Each 2-3 hour module employs storytelling, collaborative group work, journaling and workshop interactions to help participants grow their skills. The 12 Modules are typically delivered over a twelve week period.

2. Good Better Best – Team Leader Program

A four module program (two full days or four half-days) designed for first-line supervisors and managers with responsibility for team performance.  Currently formatted for live classroom delivery but can be offered in a virtual format.

3. Business Writing and Communications

A two-part program designed for technical professionals who want to improve their writing skills.  Part 1 of the program focuses on critical thinking and editing techniques.  A nominal eight hours of on-line content (video lectures and interactive worksheets) that can be viewed individually or synchronously by program participants.  Includes two live Q&A sessions in a virtual meeting room.

4. Boot Camp for Entrepreneurs – Navigating the New Normal

One-day and half-day workshops for entrepreneurs committed to thriving (not just surviving) in the post pandemic era.  The workshops (live or virtual meeting room) include live (or video) lectures and discussions / facilitated dialog between Far Sight and the participants.

5. Introduction to Good Manufacturing Practice

Manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, vaccines, biologics and medical devices adhere to the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) so that products can be sold into regulated markets.  This short course introduces ten overarching principles of Good Manufacturing Practice using video lectures and real industry examples that illustrate how GMP works in practice and on the ground. The nine hours of video lecture are viewed individually by the program participants followed by a live Q&A session in a virtual meeting room.

6. Engineering Fundamentals for Technical Professionals

A three-day short course designed for technical professionals who need to know more about the basics of process, chemical and mechanical engineering.  Originally designed for classroom presentation but now modified for virtual learning.

7. GMP for Food, Biotech and Pharmaceutical Products (Two-day course)

Manufacturers adhere to the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) as a matter of law and so that products can be sold into regulated markets.  This two-day NQF level 7 short course is accredited by and offered through the University of Stellenbosch.  The course uses notes and about 12 hours of video lectures to present GMP principles with industry examples that illustrate how GMP works in practice and on the ground. The course includes two virtual meeting room discussions with the Subject Matter Expert. CPD points are earned for ECSA and other professional bodies. On completion of the course participants receive a certificate of completion from the university. 8. Aseptic Processing for Biotech and Pharmaceutical Products

(Two-day course)

Aseptic processing encompasses

  • equipment cleaning and sterilization
  • steam, heat and chemical sterilization of objects, devices and products
  • filter sterilization of liquid and gases
  • systems, procedures, activities and methods traditionally called sterile fill and finish

Following an introduction to sanitary principles of engineering and equipment design, this course reviews all the aseptic processing topics above as they are applied to the fermentation, biotech and pharmaceutical industries.  The methods and strategies are presented with technical explanations of how and why these methods work.  This two-day NQF level 7 course is accredited by and offered through Stellenbosch University and is presented in virtual / on-line format using course notes, about 15 hours of video lectures and virtual meeting rooms for Q&A and discussion.   CPD points are earned for ECSA and other professional bodies.  Download the course brochure for registration details and/or watch a preview trailer for more information about the course.
